well i recently picked up this amp from a friend, i had it powering my temporary sub (15" CVR) till my Fi gets in.

every now and then my sub would turn off and the amp would go into protection. i couldnt figure out the problem, so i would turn my car off and then start it again and it would bump for a little while then go off again. first i thought it was either my remote wire or rca's so i changed both. still same thing. so im thinking could it be that my kenwood deck is only putting out 2.5 volt outputs?!?!?. does that make any sense?... probably not. so i disconnected my sub and still when i start my car the amp stays in protect. i have checked my ground numerous times. and also checked all my 150 amp ANL fuses, they are fine. just to clarify I DID search but didnt find my solution. c'mon guys help me out!!!! this is making go NUTS!!! i wanna be able to bump my Fi Q when it gets here. any help is appreciated.

my system details are in my sig if needed

It should be wired in parallel to bring it to a 1 ohm load, only problem I could think of would be voltage drop.

yea heel right. but i dont think ive even seen voltage drops an an car below 11. and sundown amps can run something redicilously low like 8v or 10

well honestly when i had the sub hooked up, as soon as i start my car up and try to turn my vol up it would cut out on very very LOW vol. which is weird. so my volt meter would still be at 13.8-13.9 where it usually sits when im not playing music.

and i know how to wire up the sub, but i mean does it matter which terminals on the amp i use? i think i had it on the farthest ones , so the first negative , and the last positive.

kinda like this.... {-} { } { } {+} if that helps...lol
