I need Help

I just got a 03 tahoe.. I was wondering how should I power 3 sets of T1652's... Front door, rear doors and the the kick panels

Nice choice man, im trying to get some of those components. Well i think you should get some like 14gauge or something nice running thru the doors( its a bitch, well mine was ). The amp is all you, just get something that will get you the power you need. alot of options in that. maybe a t400.4

I just got to thinking and I need a better understanding of wiring speakers together to the same amp etc etc.....I'm gonna do some reading on the forum and see if I can find that kind of stuf 1st.....

another ?..........If someone has alot of bass in there car..wouldnt 3way speakers be better than 2way.... I'm a noob, pls dont kill me

3/2 way speakers dont really have much to do with bass as far as i know

my understanding is that a 3 way has a woofer a midbass and a tweeter in one speaker

the 2 way has a woofer and a tweeter

when it comes to lower power builds (stock alt and battery) 2 way and 3 way are pretty much the same

but someone who makes real serious builds would just buy 3 separate speakers

if you are looking to wire many speakers to the same amp look up multi channel amps and go to crutchfield.com they have great tutorials and sonicelectronics.com as well

Just remember the T1652-S's are 4 ohms a set (tweeter+woofer) and if you get a T400.4 then you'd be pushing ~110 W RMS per channel at 2 ohms, 4 ohms probably about 75 W RMS at 4 ohms. The T1652's are rated at 100 W RMS so you'd be underpowering them, especially with three pairs hooked up to one T400. I recently bought 3 T400.2's to power my 4 pairs of components: 2 pairs of T1652-S, 2 pairs of RE XXX 6.5C, here's their birthsheets.

I would think the T400.4's are very similar to the T400.2's, just a slightly different power curve, and of course more channels. I'm running both pairs of T1652-S off one T400.2, with two left speakers in parallel on one channel, and the other two in parallel on the other (so there's 2 ohm loads on each channel, giving each speaker ~125 W RMS). Just make sure you buy the right amplifier for your speakers and you'll be set!
