I moved my box and laid down the nine.1 amps and voltage is dropping to lower levels.

Before I had my amp like this:

(note in picture is nine.2x but now is a nine.1)

Amps are attached to a piece of MDF.

Subs were firing this way:

(note: those are 13kv's, i have 13ov's now)

I drive about 1.5 hours everyday and listen to music full tilt. My stinger volt meter had always stayed above 13.8V (for the most part, the lowest that I've seen it drop was about 13V and occasionally 12.5V)

It idles at 14.5V

Ok, on with the changes.

Today I decided to lay down that mdf amp rack and I flipped over the box to have it fire into the cabin. I took one of my chairs down so that the bass can flow in. I can't fold both chairs down because one was stuck.

There was a noticable 0.5 - 1V drop difference when I watched my stinger volt meter.

Any idea what the cause of this could be? Is it bad to have the subs face the laid down amps?

Is it because I have only 1 chair folded down and not the other?

Are eD amps better in the other position?

The lowest I saw my voltage dropping down to was 12V.

I've never seen my system drop that low before. The lowest i've seen it drop to was 12.5V

might be wrong but u pry had impedance rise like a mother fucker with everything up stuffed in the trunk and now that you have the air escaping it might have stopped that and your impedance is dropping and so are your volts just my thought but a DMM on it and find out

Damnit. that rectangular battery for my dmm is dead and i ain't got any tripple A's for my velleman oscope. I'll have to go to target tomorrow to get new batteries.

x 2 causing your subs to load differently causing less imp rise.
