thejoose Posted February 14, 2010 Author Report Share Posted February 14, 2010 Its freezing and raining but have managed whip out the sunroof and re seal it up as well as lay some sound dampening Sunroof Out Glass out Needed to support the sunroof glass and stick it back in place for a watertight seal so measured up a sheet of MDF to bolt to the old sunroof mounts Bolted up and gap filling - due to the sunroof mount at the front i had to set the panel back slightly I then used the foam to glue the roof in (the roof glass has its own seal against opening so have glued the roof in solid and also sealed around from the outside with gutter sealant . roof is nice and solid and does not move. The panel I have added is just to support the sunroof - the roof of the main build will push up against this. Rear of the roof dampened Front is left without sound deadening yet as there is going to be steel in there maybe even a roof brace!
