CASZ71
So Ive had my truck for about 3 weeks now and have checked the gas milage twice and both times it has been around 12mpgs.. These trucks are supposed to get 19 hwy and i think either 13 or 15 city but 85% of my driving is hwy.. I havent checked my air filter yet which im sure can make a difference but this much?? It has the stock wheels and 275/70/17 tires so they arent really big.. So what I'm asking is why my truck isnt getting the mpgs it is supposed to?? It runs great and everything works perfect.. I dont drive fast or get on it much.. So what could be the problem?? And also anybody else who has a sierra or silverado what kinda gas milage do you guys get?? RichyMitch925
you can squeeze some more gas mileage out of it, i thought pick ups get around 16, My tahoe with the K&N and Air raid Throttle body spacer gets around 15 mpg. It was like $500 for all that, but in the long run its more worth it Edited February 12, 2010 by RichyMitch925 Quote Owwwwwwwwww

tristan560
What you gettin?? I added a cold air intake and throttle body spacer on my 98 and gained 3mpgs Throttle body spacers are useless unless its a carbureted engine. So those 3mpgs youre seeing extra is from the CAI. Mobile Chassis Dyno
Try to find someone local to you with HP Tuners or EFI live so they can do a scan. I have a mail order tune for the 6.0 trucks that pick up mileage 2-3 miles per gallon. Too bad you are so far away or I would say lets give it a shot on your truck.
