I plan to add a RFT1500 and an amp for highs total RMS will be around 2000 watts What size battery should I add to my truck I was thinking XS D975 what do you think? First thing I would do is get that yellow top out of there and replace it with a good battery, but I need your year/make/model to tell you which one will work best. What Group Size battery do you have in the Maxima? i have the same question ,but i have a 05 f150. i got the same amp, and also have a yellow top under the hood that i just bougth ( i know ) sorry for the hijack, i saw this thread and didnt want to start a new thread The F150 will take a D6500 under the hood and that is good for about 3000 watts as a starting battery, so with the 200amp alternator and the D6500 you would be good.
