fi bl 18 sealed box???

i have four of them and yes i know the q will work in a seald box i was just seeing if any one had tryed it ive done a lot of subs that were not meant for ported boxs in ported boxs nd worked out well.

just because some other subs "worked well" in sealed enclosures doesnt mean that this one will. put it in a ported box.

No, its the simple fact that if you dont have the room and still want to use the sub you can. I used sealed because i needed the room, and my subs are NOT recommended for sealed use. You can try and see, but no one is ever willing to try shit and always bashing people who want to TRY something different.

Just because YOU wouldnt do it, and its not recommended, doesnt mean he cant TRY it and if it works for him then good shit.

Ummmm Ya i know FI makes more than one friken sub! Geeez? Like W.E. Well i guess you guys really don't understand that car audio would not be at where it is if people did not experament with everything. And Ya Boon, I know FI has different levels of subs too, just like every company. And this sub was a BTL,or a BL. It was not a Q. It was in a massive sealed incloser and sounded mean. So I still say go for what you want caraudioman. Don't listen to the haters. I am running an RE 15" sealed rite now. I know it's like a sin! HAHA!!!! But i really dont care, and it spanks my buddys ported 12"s

No one here is saying not to try anything different. Maufacturers recommend the enclosure types because of differnt parameters of the speaker, not just for the hell of it. If you want to use a sealed box, buy the proper sub for it(not rocket science). To the OP you can try it but I bet u will never reach the full potential of that sub doing so.
