If your not experianced making ports go ahead and build that sealed box for your FI. If you decide you don't like it Take that same box and take it all apart and make it into a ported box. Decide which one you like better and stick with it. It's all about what you like man.

I'll restrain myself for now but damn, read a little bit about thielle small parameters and their relevance to the way a sub will sound in different enclosures and why the BTL is entirely unsuited to a sealed box. It's almost like you just went sealed because everyone else is ported. It's that awesome attitude of "I'm gonna do something else because everyone told me to do the other thing" that results in some really stupid stuff... 10.x volts fo' life!
