(why not 1/0) just curious on a 5000w amp. im tryin to rive 4 18's also . i like the american bass vfl's so if a couple of theese arnt what i need , any recomendations? vfl 500.1 ? thanks gyus !

But i would def make sure to run 0/1 back! paging marlo. Boon Posted March 1, 2010 Report Posted March 1, 2010 The VFL 400.1 has dual 0/1 power inputs, not 4 gauge. Don't know where you would have got that from. Solid amp. Good to 0.25 ohms on a burp but you gotta roll them unless you have a lot of electrical power behind them. Same output section as the VFL 500.1. 500.1 is more efficient at lower voltages, 400.1 is stronger at higher voltage (15.5+ or so) Make about 4kw @ 0.5 ohms @ 12 volts. 5kw @ 14.4v @ 1 ohm. 10.x volts fo' life!
MAXSPL_153 Posted March 2, 2010 Author Report Posted March 2, 2010 ok , thanks guys . for all the info . about the dual 4g power . that's what ive read on many sites sellin them . that's a relief that they are 0/1. might just go with 4 of the 500.1's if they are a little more efficient . im not tryin to spend 5k just on power to feed these monsters
