D-AK
this big perm guy threatened to put me on his list of people the cops harass for him because i wanted to verify some info he gave me about working for tc sounds this is a quote from big perm "Do you have any of the pictured NEO motors? These were my pride and joy, having been the lead engineer of the design team that made them for Lightning Audio (a RF company at the time) while working at TC Sounds. How many of the neo's do you have? I have these motors on my 18's, 15's and 12's. You'll see several sets of them at the car shows this summer." he then bitched when i showed him a picture of one i showed him the shorter fatter version of the neo motor but after seeing this thread i guess he doesnt know what a neodymium motor is he also said he was the only dealer for tc in alaska but there isnt one in ak at all i talked with them and he did inquire about becoming one but never purchased any of the new products or anything so hes not really a dealer basically the guy was a dick anyways found this thread had to join to post my story about big perm
Hellbound Train
Oh yeah I am copying Big Perm's subs? At least that is what someone had said on my Forevrbumpn vid. Nice to know I chose parts that copied him when he doesn't use kevlar.

bkolfo4
why do people bitch at me like Im building these Im just posting info on whats being built .... Because you made it sound like it was going to be better than the sub that has the same name as this form, maybe? No need to already start comparing it to other subs when you have no idea at this point what you are going to actually end up with. . .I would guess you will get a more positive response if you keep that in mind. Just my 2 cents. Current system: 1997 Blazer - (4) Customer Fi NEO subs with (8) American Bass Elite 2800.1s Previous systems: 2000 Suburban - (4) BTL 15's and (4) IA 40.1's = 157.7 dB at 37 Hz. 1992 Astro Van - (6) BTL 15's and (6) IA 40.1's = 159.7 dB at 43 Hz. goinglow
good to hear you dont like to rain on any ones parade. so what if there built like a soundstream or tc. if u think your system is any better lets hear it im willing to bet any amount of money that the big perm subs can out perform any sub in alaska. hands down. i ran digital design subs for years till i heard the big perms so sad to say i will not use anything but big perms from now on. JustinWilson
As a mechanical engineer I have questions as to some peoples credibility in the design process. This business isn't purely putting big motors on big woofers with tons of suspension...testing and time are both crucial... 06 GP GXP Google Nexus 7 16gb Rockford Fosgate 3SIXTY.3 *Electrical* DC Power 320a HP 2 - Juicebox Bananas g31 Stinger SPP2250 rear Kinetik HC1800 side of wall Optima Red Top front Monster Cable 1/0, 2 runs to rear Monster Cable 1/0 Big 3 2-Rockford Fosgate T1652S's Rockford Fosgate T400-4 Rockford Fosgate T40001bd (4693rms @1ohm) 4-Sundown SA-15 D2's wired @ 1ohm/These are on the way out for 4 one off Eminent Audio 15's 15.2 cubes net tuned @34hz! You're about a year late there buddy. But since you have some beastly subs, can you post some vids? Since the OP never got to get that sub out of the "testing stage".
