NLE Posted March 4, 2010 Report Posted March 4, 2010 Here is a mod I did to my truck this past fall. I removed the hood, splash guard, and passenger front fender I cut out a portion of the firewall on the passenger side where one of the batteries is located in the 6.6L engine compartment...

With all the intercooler piping with the diesel engine it doesn't have much room with everything pushed closer to the firewall - air box, overflow. Any of the LSX truck engines have much more room, I have fit an HC2400 in a couple with little mods. The diesel doesn't have much extra room, the stock 10.5"(?) battery was pretty tight. Now I can fit a HC2400 in my engine compartment without relocating anything else.
