ATLien
I have (2) 12" Rockford Fosgate HX2s and it seems like the rubber surround is getting worn out. I can easily push it up and down. Should this be stiff and hard to move or is this normal? Best Buy is getting rid of all their RF subs and found some Rockford Fosgate - Punch 12" Single-Voice-Coil 4-Ohm Subwoofers for $109.99 each. Would this be a decent replacement? I'm on the poor man's budget.
Guest
eww absolutely not. those subs are not a good replacement IMO. talk to Forevrbumpn about a recone or a refoam kit (not sure if he has some) he might just have your model. also check on ebay for recones or refoam kits for your woofer. loganlovesbass
ok, i think that they are ok subs for a poor man's budget but i found them for 68 bucks on here http://www.dealercostcaraudio.com/p1s412.aspx not the surround is probably just worn in but i havent seen your hx's. if they are sagging then i would say the surround is bad but if there is no sag then i would say they still got some time left in them. you might be able to recone the hx's from frevrbmpin. i think i spelled his name right. you might be able to get a good deal on the recones. the hx's would be way better than the p1's. i hope i helped is it bass yet?
