chevyridah
my shit used to do that in my car... What I did was cut to long strips of carpet that had a rubber backin and put them ontop of my tank, then tightened the brackets again. Worked like a charm, no rattle from the tank anymore... that is a cheap solution if you have some carpet laying around. but as far as that leak, I dont know what to tell you. My tank leaks, but it is up at the float, and it only leaks if I fill it up all the way... I am working on that. Good luck. yea mrwigglez told me to put peel n seel on the tank where it meets the car body...ima doo that..and prolly doo wat you did.thanx for the advice. chevyridah
Murt, you really need to take the gas tank down and see where it is leaking from and fix it. A leaking gas tank is not exactly safe. I can't really see where the stereo would do that to the gas tank (I know it rattles alot though). yea i know...the tank is out, but i didnt have time to see where it coming from..but im changing the tank tomoro..its the best thing to do. and ima put peel n seel on top of it. Cloak559
Hmm, I've never heard of a gas tank leaking because of bass....Are you sure you didnt maybe drill into it while installing a ground wire or mounting something to the floorboard? Happens all the time.... Edited June 16, 2007 by Cloak559 Quote 2001 Blazer Pioneer 5900IB - (2) DC Level 3 10"s - Sundown 1500D

FieroGrande
Peal and seal can be found at lowes or home depot. That sucks about ur problem. Are u sure its not a leak fro the gasket where the fuel pump is?

Are u sure its not a leak fro the gasket where the fuel pump is? That is where mine leaks at, if that is the case then you just need to buy a 70 cent o-ring, that is what im about to do.
