ok so i am sick of people that know nothing about car audio!!!!! arrgggggg, so i have a post up looking for a 18" sub and this guy calls me, so i answer the call, 1st off he just sounds like one of those guys trying to give me shit and heres what he says ( i recorded it lol)

so i have 2 jl audio w6, i bought them in 1996 (i loled) and i bought them for over 600 a peice, i had them metered alittle awhile ago and i hit 159.4 db. ( so i said... damnnnn, what is your box tuned to) well(wierd pause) i have a sealed box, 2.5 cubic feet. ( i was trying not to cry from laughing at this point) so yea theres alittle info, id let them go for 600 obo.... and thats pretty much it. so im just venting lol my dogs not home to vent to

Ahahahaah, that made me laugh a little bit. I thought i share this story too.

My buddy and me are really the only 2 people out of our small little town who are into car audio beyond sony xplods. There was a kid who was a class below us who runs like 2 low model kenwoods out of a sealed box that i couldnt fit a phone book in.

After he heard our BTL's he wondered why his subs didnt sound like that. were both like step outside of a sealed box and see what happens lol.

so then hes like "cant we just drill a couple of holes in my box then?" and the sad part was he was 100% serious. i felt ashamed we went to the same highschool at one point lol.

A kid that goes to my old high school just had his daddy buy him two 10" fosgtae p3's running off of a t1000-1bd. My friend from up here at college got a demo from him last weekend. My friend asked him how many watts he was running, his response was this: Well about 1400 watts. I have a 100 watt amp in the back and 1300 watt amp up front. But it is only turned up to 1 because my dad says i don't need to go any higher." Mind you this is a stock pt cruiser... His dad owns the muscle car restoration shop in our town. The kid turned down a father/son restoration for the 2002 pt cruiser, then has some nice equipment he doesn't know a damn thing about. I bust my ass all summer and spend what i have saved up after bills/gas/etc. That little peckerhead is still louder than me. /rant
