Test tones to set gains

I have access to a o-scope at work. So on monday or tuesday, im going to set my gains with the o-scope. I have read on here that you want to use a 50hz tone track for subs and 1k hz for your mids. The only thing that i was thinking, is that can I just download the tracks of i-tunes? I already found them on there from " Bass Mechanic". Is there any reason why i cant do this, or do u have to get the CD and use that? Just dont really feel like ordering one, and cant seem to find one locally

in that video the volume wasnt changed. i just lowered the frequency. when i tuned at 1k hz it started to clip around 300hz and everything below that.

that cd could work... kinda shitty though. use its 40hz tone for subs and 100hz for mids.

If your using an ipod, it changes how 'loud' the output will be if you use bluetooth or the headphone socket. Bluetooth will be louder because its sending the pure data, which the head unit decodes.
