PUNKYOU007
I have two Cadence C5 amps. I also have 4 AQ HDC3 18's D1. The amps instructions say 2 ohm final load when bridging the two amps. So going by the instructions i take it that i can wire all four subs together down to 2 ohms then connect the positive wire to the positive on the Master amp and the negative to the positive on the Slave amp a wire from the negative of the Master to the negative on the Slave. I am just wanting to make sure thats correct before i do it. Edited May 12, 2010 by PUNKYOU007 Quote Doethepaperboy "Bars of Pain" Doethepaperboy "Hero Remix" C. cqtama
as long as you dont go below 2 ohms you should be good. remember when you strap those amps together its only 2 ohm stable Quote R.I.P '01 blazer you treated my ears well until your transmission blew up. Boon
Yep. Although lol, they used the wrong terminal diagram in the manual. I don't know many C5's with a Left and Right Channel. Use 2 runs of 8 gauge preferably to join the amp's negative terminals together. Quote 10.x volts fo' life!
PUNKYOU007
i didnt even notice that the two diagrams were different. the top amp goes Rem Neg Neg Pos Pos : the bottom amp goes Rem Pos Neg Pos Neg so are you saying that i should run a wire from both negative spots on one amp to the negative spots on the other amp? Correct That's what Sundown and many other manufacturers recommend. May as well minimise any loss between the amps. Quote 10.x volts fo' life! PUNKYOU007
what do you do with the other positive terminal? just leave it alone i have never had amps like this before so im trying to learn this stuff before i get to installing them. Thanks for your help BTW. Quote Doethepaperboy "Bars of Pain" Doethepaperboy "Hero Remix" C. Arson d(-__-)b beer sucks...but i can bring some jose cuervo. Thanks for your help BTW. Personally I use both positive terminals to go to brass bolts through the sides of the box. I would recommend doing the same, you're going to be shifting a fair bit of power so you may as well get some nice wire in there. A good way to do it is use a 4ga 'audio' lug and stick 2 runs of 8ga in it then crimp/solder it Quote 10.x volts fo' life!
PUNKYOU007
So are the two negative terminals common points inside the amp? As well as the positive?
