How To Build a 14v system?

Recommended Posts

so my question is, as i now run a stock battery, it its obviously easier for a it to got lower then 11V.

with a 14v battery, if it goes on low like at 12v, is it bad?

get me?...

like 14V battery. stock alt. will sometimes drop under 12v wouldnt it?.... but will take longer to drop then any other 12v?

No, 12V on a 14V battery is TERRIBLE! That's like 10V on your current batteries...

I'll tell you this though, if you're serious about upgrading, don't settle for anything less under the hood than a 14V battery. If you charge 12V batteries with 16V you run the risk of swelling and possibly bursting them. My MLA module ran so high for so long (15.9+) that my D3100 under the hood swelled to the point I almost couldn't take it out. Had to disconnect the MLA... :(
