audiofreak10 Posted March 31, 2010 Report Posted March 31, 2010 Hey guys, Putting an amp in my car this weekend and figured that since I will have the car apart anyways, I should just go ahead and do the big 3 while I'm at it.Amp is rated at 1000w (600rms) and the alternator is 140a.Just wanted to make sure that when I do the big 3 that I do not cut anything,just add another wire to that post,bolt,etc right? Some people are telling me to cut off the wires that I'm not using.Thanks

audiofreak10 Posted April 2, 2010 Author Report Posted April 2, 2010 Apparently my car has more than one engine to frame ground.Do I need to replace all of them or will replacing one that isn't a pain to get to going to be enough?
ktm300 Posted April 3, 2010 Report Posted April 3, 2010 You dont have to remove any of them, just add new wires to the increase the capacity. Crimp then solder you're wires, dont forget to fuse the wire going from the alt (+) to batt (+)
