rc.btl
In your guy's honest opinion would you rather have a Kenwood KDC-X794 vs an Alpine 9886. Which would you choose cause i want to sell my alpine to buy the Kenwood ive always been a bigger fan of Kenwood but my dad bought me the alpine for christmas and was proud of himself for choosin the deck so i used it but im thinkin i want somethin different. JZeFF
I have no experience with the kenwood... but i do own the 9886... I wish i would have went with a different head-unit. It is direct connect for the ipod... but navigating through all of your songs is a pain. (takes forever EQ settings are lacking on the 9886, it has Treble, Bass, and subwoofer level.... Thats about it. You can get the imprint tool.. but im not paying 200 for that 1 time use tool... The fact that you have to hold the back button every time you want to go back in a menu, its a small annoyance, but it bugs the hell out of me... The "pretty" display settings are lacking... there are only three background effects.. To see the time of the day you have to hit the display button a few times, it cant show you the name of the song... and the time??... Overall... i paid 200 for my 9886 new, got a good deal... but im very disappointed by the unit. Oh, also... i have a 2ng gen ipod touch.. it doesn't charge it like its supposed to. I would go with the kenwood... simply because im not very happy with my alpine EDIT: i just looked up the specifications on the Kenwood... get the kenwood.. lol Edited April 3, 2010 by JZeFF Quote Pioneer x930 bt Rockford t2500 bdcp 18" nightshade v1 DC audio 175.4 RF power T162s up front, infinity 3 way 6x9's in the back (removing rear stage and re-doing doors soon) 3x XS power D2700's Knukonceptz 0awg all around
