bigbodylexus
Okay I just bought a SAZ-1500D to go with my SA-12's. Right now I only have my stock alternator (90 amps) I was going to buy a Powermaster D3100 for the trunk. I have the big 3 upgraded to 1/0 ga. wire. Is this going to be enough? I know how Sundown amps are rated so I know the more juice I give the amp the more power it will give me. I just want to try to keep the amp happy with at least 13.8 - 14.4 volts. I know a bigger alternator would be better but I don't have the money right now for a new one. Quote i was thinking leave the 12 sitting in the box in the hole and duck tape from the bottom of the sub to the bottom of the baffle so the sub doesnt free air. would that work? CaptainzPlanetz
You should be fine, I have a yellow top upfront with a Kinetik 1400 in the trunk running about 2500rms. And I get less than 1 volt drop max full tilt at night with all accessories/lights on. I have a stock 110 amp alt, Big3 done and 1/0 through out so you should be good.
