My first real system

Heyo everyone, just joined the forums and this my first post. I’m going to be installing a second system in my 2003 s-10 and have a few questions before I get started if you don’t mind. The equipment I will be installing is as follows.

1. 1 RF T2500.1BD amp

2. 1 RF R300.4 amp

3. 1 pair P142 4” speakers

4. 1 pair P1653 6 ½ speakers

5. 2 12” dc xl’s tuned to 32-34hz

6. 1 Optima YT battery

7. 1 HO 220amp alt

8. Big 3 upgrade

Now I have been reading these forums for roughly a month and know of all the necessary wiring that must go into all this so I’m getting it all shipped in. This isn’t my first go round with car stereos although it is with going this big so I just want to make sure I take the necessary precautions and do it right. The questions I have are,

1. I plan on building the box for these and will mount the subs up with the port on the side firing forward because if it fires back it will hit the back wall of my cab, there won’t be must room at all so I figure forward is the best way to go ?

2. The remote turn on lead from the HU, is it safe to split, I guess solder the joint, to run to both amps? This is all I will run off it so I figure it will be ok.

I’m sure I will think of more as time goes on, just wanted to get the ball rolling. I will be starting the ordering tomorrow I hope so I t should all be here soon and will start the build once I’m done with finals (first week of May).

Oh, and yes I will be taking pictures while building and videos once it’s done, I know you guys crave that stuff, lol

Remote is safe to split. That's how I have mine.

sounds awesome!! the only thing that I would say to do is a second battery. For the power your running a second battery is a must!! If it was me I would have 2 in the back

You don't have to do anything fancy with the remote wire. Just use a jumper from one amp to the other.
