Habit
I started up my car and my alpine cde-102 headunit gave me a dc error. i have gone through the manual and cant find anything. the 3 alpine type r's in the trunk still play but are distorted. and my only 2 speakers in my car dont play at all... first i thought i somehow blew my subs, so i unplugged all my amps and subs to the car and the headunit gave me the error again i still have full control of the headunit but just when i pick the song instead of it showing the song, it shows the error if anybody has experienced anything like this or has advice any is welcome

kylecm85
We have had all of ours at our shop do it. We even put the on the bench and tested them for days and they all do that. We finally shipped them back to alpine so its not just yours its all of them. I would see if you can exchange it for a diffrent brand or model. 94 lincoln mark viii h/u: kenwood kvt 614 Excelon comps: alpine type x amps: mtx 1501d mtx 4004 sub:2 DC lv4 12 wiring jl audio 0awg 8 awg sub jl audio 4 awg for mid and highs amp myspace.com/kylecm85 carstereolexington.com

Habit
so it has to be replaced then. damn! what would have caused this to prevent it again?
pthrift
Sounds like it's an alpine issue; not something u did; therefore really only way to prevent is to buy a different brand radio lol Clicky for build log.... 2002 Tahoe DC Power Inc 3 alt bracket with 2x230a. alts 1 stock Eclipse CD5030 2 JL HD 600/4 4 Rockford Fosgate 2500bdcp's 4 DC Audio 18" XL's 4 Pr MB Quart Premium Components 200FT Stinger HPM 1/0 Rockford 360.2 No where near enough sound deadening

Habit
Ive actually researched it alittle more myself but i cant find the short. i also found it might be the ground wire but i tried to ground it myself... but didnt work also on a side note it usually turns on when the car turns on and when i snap the faceplate in but i have to push a button to get it to turn on
