hdorre
I'll be getting 4 12s and want the subs to play low. I've heard that Qs are SQ subs and SSDs are SPL subs. Does that mean the SSD is sloppy? Here's the enclosure: about 9.5 cubes after port displacement and is tuned to about 33hz. Which setup would hit the lows harder and move more air? 1) 4 12" Fi SSDs with Flatwind coil on two Rockford Fosgate T1500-bds 2) 4 12" Fi Qs on two Hifonics 2610ds On 5/8/2011 at 7:38 PM, Kranny said: On 5/8/2011 at 7:35 PM, 'Maxim' said: It hurts me inside when I read stuff like this and remember you're 15 LMFAO so true Mitsubishi 3000GT (Old Build) Headunit: Pioneer 80PRS Frontstage: (2) McLaren Audio MLT-2 Tweeters & (4) PRV Audio MR Series Neo 6.5" Mids Substage: 4 15" Hybrid Subs - Tantric Motors & Sundown Softies Amps: Banda 2.4D Amp (Tweets), American Bass VFL 350.4 (Mids), and (2) Ampere 3800s Electrical :Singer 260A Alt & JY Power Lithium 2005 Chevy Colorado Ext Cab Headunit: Pioneer 80PRS Frontstage: 4 PRV 700Ti Tweets & 6 10" Delta Mids on 3000wrms Substage: 6 Fi BTL 18s in a 4th Order Walkthrough on 3 Wolfram 4500s Electrical: Singer "390" and JY Power My Official Feedback Thread
Moti
It doesn't make sense that you are getting lower quality amps for the Q's and better quality amps for the SSD. It doesn't mean that the SSD's are sloppy, everything will sound good in the proper box. Personally I would pair the Q's with the RF amps. I am sure they will birth higher, so wattage shouldn't be an issue.
Crump
If you want to play LOW get the Qs with the fosgates not the Hifonics. I'm expecting them to put out around 1600-1700 watts rms which is right around the power range. If I put two Qs per amp, which fosgate amp would you reccomend? Moti
Any of the subs will sound good in the right box. The q's get really low. The thing with q's is you can use them in a budget sq setup if you really needed to, that's how good they are in terms of sound quality. If that doesn't matter, just go with the BTL and T2500's.
