Components in the rear deck

Recommended Posts

I am pretty set on getting these for my front doors, but the whole matching speakers is awesome :)

As of right now I have 6.5" 2-way eclipse in the rear deck, but they feel like they are going.

So my question is, has anyone done components in the rear deck of a sedan? Does it sound ok? Or should i look for some coax's?

Also, I was wondering If I put those foam baffles on em, would it help protect them from the subwoofers in my trunk?

They seem to be "playing through" the woofers on my midranges and possibly damaging them?

Thanks in advance for any responses.

Now keep in mind iv never heard the Hifonics in person

For the price of those, i would save/spend just a lil bit more and get these:

forget speakers in the rear deck. the ones you have now are probably going out because the air pressure from the subs is pushing on the back of the cone. its an easy way for speaks to die.

scrap the hifonics. lets say you were going to spend $160 for 2 sets of comps. now instead put that money into a good set for the front doors. i would highly recommend these. they are a little more expensive but they sound great. if you stick with the cheap companies you will get cheap results.

If I answered you in a well mannered, informative way, you asked a good question or had a good attitude. If I was an asshole, you asked a stupid question or you had a fucktard attitude... or I was in a bad mood.

What if he wants the people in the back to hear music to?

so he can keep spending money on speakers that will keep dieing. good plan. how often do you have people in the back seat? for me, its not often enough to sacrifice my sound stage for.

at the moment i only have my front door speaks working and the people in the back hear them just fine. one guy said he didnt even know the speakers next to him were not on. but even if it was a problem in the back seat, 90% of the time, i am the only one in my car so i built it for what sounds best to me. not the empty seats lol.
