ya, i heard about that stuff but i think its more for machinery than stuff like this, or the stuff i seen is rolled up kinda like a spring and u run it down in the screw threads and it rethreads it to another thread and if fixs it but i only heard about it once from my hvac book so i dunno

There is also a rethreading kit, I believe they are called tapcon rethreading kit. They are made to put new threads into stripped out metal, They use a hardened steal thread insert, that basically you tap it into the new area and it has the same internal thread as the original screw hole. It is really hard to strip those once you insert them. Good way to go IMHO

just drill them out , get a tap then screw the tap into the whole and it will cut new treads, but yoll have to get new screws for the new size

im sorry they are called helicoils. this was just the first thing that came up on google but they carry them at Home Depot im pretty sure

support the terminals with something if you can so you dont break the solder inside the amp while drilling and tapping.

Any time you have have a power wire next to your frame put some rubber hosing (or cut up an innertube) around it. The wire is bound to wiggle (due to driving or flex) and the casing will eventually wear through.
