i think the soundstream dtr3400 would be a better choice

http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_23965_Soundstream+DTR1.3400D.html

it says $700 but click make an offer and they will accept $431

so for $11 more dollars you get about 1k more rms and the dtr is .5 stable

2200 rms @1 ohm

3400 rms@ .5 ohm

and ive seen them ran daily at .25 ohm!

that's crazy because when i clicked on checkout the price still says $699

damn make your vision blur and hard to breathe at only 1700 watts You must be one hell of a box builder.

Nothing too special, just a basic separate chamber box at 6.7 cubes per driver after port and driver displacements, and a 4"x12" square port for each sub. Its tuned low, at 26 hertz.

These SSD18's are just amazing subs for the price. Though, I will be building another box down the road, at about 12 to 15 cubes per driver, and increasing the port area, to see if I can get the peak response down from about 45 hertz to the low 30's. I love the loud lows. Pulling some hairtricks wouldn't be bad either.

I have been building enclosures for about 10 years now, so I have learned a few tricks and tips from a lot of people, and I have learned a lot about it on my own as well. :)

Custom Sounds NW takes your ideas and turns them into your reality.
