BigHOUSTON Posted April 24, 2010 Report Posted April 24, 2010 Ok I plan on putting a crazy daily/SPL system in my 4runner but, im not really up to putting a wall so at first I had decided on 2 18" FI BTL's fully loaded with 2 T2500.1bd's and ofcourse all the other stuff such as mids and highs and whatnot. But I just got back from a local audio shop and was picking up some wire and was taling with the guy whom i've talked with before and told him my plans and him being a salesman he told me he had never herd of FI or btl's,so he told me i should instead do a brand people know but i personally knw people know what fi is but anyways he told me i should but 2 rockford fosgate 15" t2's with a t1500.1bd to each sub which got wondering which set up should i get . i mean for the 2 18's and 2 2500bds it will be about $3800 more or less , but the 2 15's and 2 1500bds would be about $3100. but now im drawn between the 2 ideas so could anyone please give me some good insite.it would be greatly appericated. .
CNF Kevosinn Posted April 24, 2010 Report Posted April 24, 2010 rockford amps are awesome! their subs, not so much. Go with the Fi it is so much better its not a comparison. The only reason he says to go with the all rockford setup I because HE SELLS IT. CNF Kevosinn Posted April 24, 2010 Report Posted April 24, 2010 ya if you want to save some money on the subs check out the audioque hdc3. they are alot cheaper and come in between the bl and the btl. If you can afford the btl go for it though *** SuperSeller Status Verified *** ( http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/25829-super-sellers-buyers/ ) "kevosinn's" astro van 8 custom Sundown Zv4 18's 4 Sundown scv 6000's CNF Distribution CNC parts Skyhigh wire some batteries SMD Meters and tools used on the installhttp://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/172877-kevosinns-vanwest-coast-skyhigh-car-audio-vehicle/ 16,000 watt walled silverado build.http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/161965-walled-silverado-4-hdc4-15s-4-crescendo-3500s-and-much-more/ 8,000 watt 1999 Subaru legacy outback. Thanks man i can totally argee with u but the thing is with the 18's i dont know like how big the box should be ,since ive never built a box without a chamber so i know i have about 10ft3 to work with but havent really decide on what i will tune it to when i get to that point . so if u have anymore advice it would help a lot
Watch the bass Posted April 24, 2010 Report Posted April 24, 2010 In the moment u can get in the want to sale section 15´s lvl 4 XL for 225 + shipping per each. CNF Kevosinn Posted April 24, 2010 Report Posted April 24, 2010 ok so the 18's want 6-10 cubes a piece so take that into consideration. If you are going to be running them of a t2500 a piece then you would want as much air space as possible because you not running a crazy amount of power through them. if you were running something like 2 2500's per sub then you would want a smaller amount of air space so it can help the suspension of the sub not go crazy. hope this helps a bit *** SuperSeller Status Verified *** ( http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/25829-super-sellers-buyers/ ) "kevosinn's" astro van 8 custom Sundown Zv4 18's 4 Sundown scv 6000's CNF Distribution CNC parts Skyhigh wire some batteries SMD Meters and tools used on the installhttp://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/172877-kevosinns-vanwest-coast-skyhigh-car-audio-vehicle/ 16,000 watt walled silverado build.http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/161965-walled-silverado-4-hdc4-15s-4-crescendo-3500s-and-much-more/ 8,000 watt 1999 Subaru legacy outback. !!!BLINKY!!! Posted April 24, 2010 Report Posted April 24, 2010 If your not sure about the 18's go with the FI 15's.. In my opion its better to go down a size in subs and have enough airspace then go big and it not be right... HU...Pioneer 5900IB Wireing...Stinger Amps...(1) Modded Stetsom 2K6..
