OGMatt Posted May 25, 2010 Author Report Posted May 25, 2010 Make sure that is 100% sealed. Looks good though. Looking at doing carpet? Ya it is 100% sealed and yes I am carpeting it due to the imperfections of the box. I honestly didnt think that a 2x6inch port would make my doors vibrate but its great! Shaved Sig

OGMatt Posted May 28, 2010 Author Report Posted May 28, 2010 So tunight I ripped the box outta the rex and did some work. It wasn't sealed well at all due to the fact that we were impatiant, so I used polly filla on the outside and killed it nicely with silicone on the inside. Im letting it dri for 2 days before I touch it this time. I desided to make a "tombstone" too cover the badly bondoed top. Then I thought, "why dont carpet it then put the cover over top!". 2x6 vent biotch! Took me 3 hours to make the tombstone Getting carpet and gloss black bomb tommorow! Stay tuned... Shaved Sig
jeyrapboy Posted May 28, 2010 Report Posted May 28, 2010 Building a box now with the same design, except my port is 4x9 and 15 deep for 2 12" in a jeep. They hit hard now but cant wait to finish the box. But i aint goin to rush things. IDK if i am going to carpet the box or paint it. I think i may paint it idk yet.
OGMatt Posted May 28, 2010 Author Report Posted May 28, 2010 I have always liked the painted look, don't know why. But I like black tweed too, so best of both worlds for me Shaved Sig

goldrush1975 Posted May 29, 2010 Report Posted May 29, 2010 i understand the support for the young installer but, why is people lying to him. his box is badly built. i saw nails(instead of screws) and heard silicone(instead of resin). if we continue to praise a bad install then, he will continue and will be a bad installer. the worst thing of all, he will quote people from the best site in the industry (SMD) and, that will allow people to question the integrity of the site. young installer, keep building but remember if you cut corners now, you will pay for them later x2. Good luck NEW ORLEANS CUTT THROATER.
OGMatt Posted May 30, 2010 Author Report Posted May 30, 2010 Box is built and sounds great! It looks like shit nothing worked out well but it sounds great lol. Im happy with it and thats all that matters. Shaved Sig
