killallblue Posted April 26, 2010 Report Posted April 26, 2010 So I have a level 4 that's I buying in a few weeks and it needs a recon if I recone it to level 5 soft parts what would the specs on the sub change to for the box and ph? Quote
thorshammer Posted April 26, 2010 Report Posted April 26, 2010 Specs really wont change that much. The lvl 5 coil will take more thermally but your still limited to the motor strength and mechanical limits. Quote
killallblue Posted April 26, 2010 Author Report Posted April 26, 2010 Could I run it at 2ohm after I recone it sorry this reconing thing is new to me Quote
thorshammer Posted April 26, 2010 Report Posted April 26, 2010 Either a dual 4 coil parallel (pos to pos, neg to neg) or a dual 1 coil in series (pos to neg opposite coils then pos and neg to amp) will do this for you. Quote
J00bles Posted April 26, 2010 Report Posted April 26, 2010 depending on your power, lvl 5 coils may benefit you. the last 5 lvl 4s i've had have all been lvl 5 coils Quote 8 DC Level 4 M2 15s2 DC Audio 5ks26^2 clamshell tuned to 30hz9 Kinetik 1400sMechman externally reg'd 340 S seriesin a 99 Jeep Cherokee Click to see J00bles' Youtube Channel
