if you planned on adding more power i would. but one good battery up front should do. heck i'm pushing 3500 rms on one optima and two 1.0 farads and i'm good.

If you want...or get one good battery in the front like a optima yellow top or a kinetic battery

i have a dual purpose optima yellowtop up front, i haven't had any experience personnal with kinetic but have heard nothing but good about them. i drive an 04 expedition and i can fit up to a hc2000 underhood. that's what i'm looking into for next year. optima is outdated but gets the job done.
