and from what i've seen the seller told the guy that he would pay for recone and the guy actually sent sub back. what part of that doesnt scream to you that the buyer had a change of heart?

#1 His "shop" was going to do recone for free and wouldnt put it in a box because they felt it wouldnt work. What shop do you know of that does this?

#2 His "shop" traded the custom box they built for a "used" box and 4 10's. What shop does this?

#3 Seller offered to pay for repair without proof that the equipment wasnt working. What manufacturer do you know of that does this?

#4 Seller offered to help out buyer even after the 30day period that most every other company gives you. Do you know of any walmart that will take back an electronic item over the 30day period? SAME RULES APPLY

have any of the poster's actually tried to recone a sub? let alone a sub that has 3 tinsel leads that you have to fit into a hole made for one single 16ga tinsel?

yea didnt think so. soldering isnt the easiest thing in close proximity around materials that are flammable.

Why would I pay shipping back? I expected to get a huge POS once he told me he actual shipped it back rather then just taking the $90 for a fresh re-cone. I am sorry but that makes this all even more fish to me because I swear this thing looked like it does now when it left here. That clearly did not happen. Why should I spend my money to send him back a sub that nothing was wrong with that make no sense. The email ad so no returns he say the sub on. I was trying to be nice as his shop said the sub would not work, the cone was a mess etc etc it's all here. The cone whipped off and the sub worked great. I can drop it in a box and put a sundown 1500D at .5 to it for a few days I bet it's still playing a week/month/year later..

Here is what I think happened I could be wrong though. He got the sub put it in his box did not like it for what ever reason. Figured he would try and get a refund by any means because now he has 4 10's in a new customer box. Does this sound like someone that just lost there job but could not afford a $90 re-cone hell a free re-cone because I offered to pay for it for him. I think he changed his mind and tried to screw someone over after he did not like the sub or used it.

That's what I think after seeing this sub along with everyone else here that looked at it and found what all happened.

yes you've had grief for how long? says you waited 2 months. it hasnt been but only a month since you first complained now. if you want refund wouldn't the sub need to be repaired. this sub from the looks of the video and pictures was just cosmetically (which will be hidden when put in box and gasket put on) not up to your "very good" standards. Maybe to him "very good" means that once put in box it will sound stock and look stock once put in box properly. but if you are looking for help or refund the sub would need to be in an inoperable state like your shop has stated per your quote.

Speaking of which what shop is this because I have quite a few people who need to change out subs as they are not happy with the output of them and yours seems to do a trade in/upgrade for free program.

BTW check with Jacob at Sundown and see if he'd take something back after 30days of you having it and not testing it. Everyone raves about his customer service but yet not even he would take something back and issue refund like you are wanting with your situation.

i dont see where you are in desperate need of loud subs anyway if you are now unemployed and a single father. hell why are you needing a show quality sub do they have car shows in NY at the welfare office?

Hi Brad, didn't realize you had 2 profiles on here. As life would have it I lost 1 of my jobs, and what does that have to do with a poor quality, not as described sub? Did you look at the pics? The off center cone, damaged tinsels, melted posts, sloppy glue job, and just shit poor condition? Does this look like a sub described CONTINUOUSLY to me as VERY GOOD, and YOU HILL BE VERY HAPPY??? I wanted to treat myself, and thats all besides the point. No one deserves this kind of nightmare. If your not Brad, then you sure have the same attitude, and writing stlyes. As for the welfare office, I am not sure if they have shows there. When you go to get your welfare check do me a favor and ask your case worker if they do. You never know I might lose my 2nd job and be in a tight spot.

As for the described sub why dont you look and actually READ and COMPREHEND my posts. They'll say alot about how people view subs. One man's trash is another man's treasure. Ever heard of the phrase? Well here I'll explain it to you since you are obviously one of the low IQ people of the US. What you may view as complete trash and not good condition someone would view as perfect for what they are trying to accomplish, which would be putting some bass in their vehicle in a cost-effective manner. From what I've seen you paid ~$230 total for a sub that would go for easily $269+shipping. Say the sub weighed oh idk 35lbs. That would make for over $50 shipping from NV to NY. So you got approximately EIGHTY dollars off for a sub that mechanically is flawless as seen in the video. So what something was on the cone that could be wiped off with a rag. So the glue wasnt perfect under the gasket. Do you not put the gasket on the sub when you mount it? You paid for a sub that was in very good condition you didnt ask cosmetically so one could assume that he meant very good in a mechanical manner which would be a true statment. You complained about the cone and cosmetics and told the seller you could get a recone for so much money then he offered to give you that money and you decided that you want all your money back. So bad customer service? I think not since he ofered to purchase recone and you said you had a "shop" (which I believe is either yourself or a friend of yours posing as an installer) that was willing to recone the sub for free. So yes the way you are acting is totally contradictory to someone who wanted to "treat" themselves and got an item that wasnt up to par. Recone and up to your standards if i'm assuming correctly.

BTW any shop is allowed to sell an item if you do not collect your merchandise within 30days. If that makes a bad seller than you should contact the BBB about their own laws.

AND WHO BUYS ITEMS WHEN THEY KNOW THEY ARE OUT OF THE COUNTRY? IF THEY DO WHY DONT THEY HAVE SOMEONE CHECK THE SAID ITEM IN A TIMELY MANNER SO AS TO AVOID PROBLEMS WITH DOA OR WRONG ITEM SHIPPED.

As for the shipping to me he paid $29 flat and uninsured for a total of $262, a new sub shipped would have been $311. As for the condition I did not wipe or clean anything, and would you yourself tamper with something where the center cone is glued off center with waaay to much glue, damaged tinsels, melted posts, sloppy glue job, and just shit poor condition or would you just try to return it as you were thoroughly lied to. Look at the shipping conditions, no packing, no support, it had 3 peices of foam wall insulation cut and stuck next to it, if he cares so much for the high end good condition audio gear he sells wouldn't he pack them safely as anyone here would? Do you imagine the guy he supposedly sold the TRU stuff to would be thrilled to find such poor "care" with his gear he paid near retail for? He did buy from Brad to save a few dollars so he is the bad guy for being frugal then, right? As for what VERY GOOD CONDITION means, I also did not ask him if it's chi was in place so again by your standards I omitted to ask? I am the victim, not a criminal, you see my pics of all the defects here, he admits the same sub came back. Did the defects disappear in shipping, or did he use low light and favor the sub for the picture? i like how you talk about yoursel in the 3rd person in that post...but a 2 out of 10? didnt you post the pictures from the ebay ad that you looked at before you bid. so i saw the same spots in those pics as you had in yours..so if it was a 2 of 10 when you looked at the same exact sub there why did you wanna bid or email and buy outside of ebay?
