Toady Posted April 30, 2010 Report Share Posted April 30, 2010 (edited) Alright so 4 months ago my stock alt went out on me, and i replaced it with a Db Electrical 2200 at 1200 rpm and 110 at idle. Well it messed up on me twice in 2 months and it did not do rated at all so i said forget it, it cost more for shipping than the actual alt. So after that i was like forget it im not going cheap anymore so i went with mechman Alternators. They had a 270 and 165-or 170 at idle large case alt for my car. So i ordered one and in 2 to 3 days it was on my front porch. I installed it and i got amazing results, The first test was I turned on my AC, Volume 29 out of 33, Bass on, the voltage went from 14.8 to 14.7 at IDLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! and if i rev it it doesn't move at all, Thanks Matt and Mechman for a great alt.
