07 TBSS Fi Team 18's B-Walled 4th

Recommended Posts

Well I spent the day (not the whole day) trying to figure out why in the hell my voltage was dropping down into the 12's yesterday. Come to find out one of my alts (the two plug that goes into the stock regulator) is fucked and not charging at all  Anyways, ripped the alts out, boxed up the two plug, and shipped it back to Iraggi... I put the stock alt back in and it's charging like it used to (15.5'ish)...

OH YEAH!!! What do you plan on wrapping the box in??

We are just going to paint it first and see how that turns out.

On a side note, the wife just finished some conference and got a free Flip Ultra HD :good:

Not much to show, I did deaden the back gate, but I forgot to take pictures.

Today or tomorrow I'm going to yank the sub amps, subs, and box so I can start pulling the interior. Once that's out I can deaden the roof and floor. Then we just have to paint the box. Dom said that my alt should be shipping back tomorrow so I should have that mid next week. Getting close to being done! :clapping:

Well, as I had mentioned the sub amps, batts, box, subs, and wiring all came back out for deadening. Did the roof, rear quarters, and the back half of the floor. These TB's have an insane amount of material under the carpet for deadening so I went easy on it and should we need more I have tons left. Just to give you an example the padding in the rear cargo area is 1.5 inches thick! Anyways, back to the show ;)

Took the gate apart to skin it

Cutting

Close to done (insane amount of crap to dodge on this thing. I also hit the outside skin where I could reach it. This wasn't finished, not sure I have one of it totally covered.

Dropped the headliner, deadened the roof (up to 6 layers in the center), braced the braces, great stuffed the voids

Interior going back in after hitting the floor with SS. Once the carpet was back in I hit some of the spots that I had missed which you can see in these pics, I forgot to take another after they were completely covered.

We had a couple problems with the way things were for the testing. First off the box was about 1/2" too deep which was due to a few unforseen issues (seatbelt bracket sticking out 1/4" and the goose going to the gas tank making the box slighting crooked). The batts were up against the back gate and the box which meant that sooner or later they were going to break either the gate or their casing. Second issue was with a loss of rear seat recline and lock which I don't like. I do carry passengers around now and again and should we wreck there is the chace that the box will squish them between the seat and seatbelt so that had to be fixed.

We tried putting the batts on the passanger side where there is a large void in the rear quarter but only one batt would fit plus I wasn't jumping up and down to cut up the interior. The other option was to use the cargo cubby in the rear cargo area. We had to build a rack which will hold the batts in place and give us space to mount the amps as well as giving back seat recline with lock and nothing banging around breaking shit.
