why is my clif designs subwoofer louder on a 4 channel amp compared to a 1000 watt mono amp? My wiring is all 8 gauge/this is my 4 channel amp the red/black is to the sub and the blue/white are to speakers. no these are not my settings this is just a google pic

highly doubt that planet audio amp puts out 1000 watts. what kinda fusing does it have?

What ohm load are you running the Planet Audio at?? And whats the fusing of the PA amp, its rated at 600rms at 1 ohm, it is possible you didnt change the wiring when you switched to the other amp which would give you about 250rms output since you would be at 4ohms most likely.

Edit I believe it has 80amps of fusing, so it should do rated if not a lil more.

I'm gonna guess you get what you pay for? I've never heard of planet audio.

OP it might be your wiring....you only have 8 gauge so maybe the mono not getting full potential and the 4-channel is because of the power ground input

at 1 ohm

the PA amp is 2x25a

sub is 2ohm dvc wired down to 1 ohm

shouldn't in this video i had 8 gauge also and the amp settings are the same
