ADavidson152
Thanks guys i'm startin to get an idea of what I'm lookin at as far as sound quality goes. I was thinkin about the inverted idea to start but i'd still like to put a lower set in the console. I'm also goin for an extremely custom look, like building the console from scratch and fiberglass. I understand i'm goin the toughest route on this but its somethin i've wanted to do for a while Edited May 8, 2010 by ADavidson152
keepinitloud
why dont ppl run there subs in a downfire box? they will not mess up the subs by stupid passengers and u can port a downfire too timmy did 2 mtx 12's in a downfire console and he said it wanged pritty good i ran my subs in a downfire for a while sealed and they sounded good on about everything, even played lows nicely I had two fifteens in a downfire box in my chevy colorado ported it slammed shook the steering wheel and made the wipers dance on the glass Quote 06 chrysler 300C Hemi one mmatts dreadnaut 15 powered by a planet audio vx 2200d fosgate p200 running planet audio 8" midbass drivers and super compression tweeters stock battery and a stinger spv44 Irragi 300 amp alternator big 3 1/0 http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/55075-system-in-my-300c/page__view__findpost__p__763656__fromsearch__1
STEvil
could do subs backwards. Got a friend with a single rockford 12 in a sealed box facing backwards behind a bench seat (tight fit, we put a couple strips of 1" mdf on the face of the box to hold it off the back wall of the cab) with an old ass half burned out orion amp and you'd think it was a ported 15.... Dirty - I'd like to see what your box would do if you turned it on end so the subs were forward and the port up. Quote MickyMcD - "Capable of making some serious trouser flapping volumes at where's-my-testicles frequencies, the Servo-Drives used to be fairly jaw dropping..." Any time you have have a power wire next to your frame put some rubber hosing (or cut up an innertube) around it. The wire is bound to wiggle (due to driving or flex) and the casing will eventually wear through. Hammerdown... 1% no links to outside websites, business related FB/YT pages allowed.
