Using Motorola L7 Slvr As An Ipod

Hey guys. Any of you ever used your Motorola Cell phones with Itunes like an Ipod on your system? Well I ordered an adapter that plugs into the side of the phone and has a 3.5mm standard stereo Headphone output on it (Female End)...I have a cable that has the male end of the Headphone adapter that outputs to 2 stereo RCA outputs..So that means I can hook my phone up to my AUX input on my headunit and use my phone as an Ipod..The advantage I am using it for is to load all my test tones and songs that skip using my cd player..Cell phone doesnt skip...You guys ever done this?? nope never done that..just used good old fasion mp3 player...but it seems like it should work.

when i get back i am going to get the alpine 420i for my ipod to hook right into my cd player, since with that i will be able to control everything from my deck and it will show artist and song titles on my cd player display.

I just didn't have Ipod money so..My brother works for At&T (Cingular) I asked him if they had such an adapter and he said yeah..So I had the cable laying around the house so I put 2 an 2 together and there ya go..See my Cd's Skip bad when I play Test tones, Young Jeezy, USDA, so with the phone hooked up to it I have 512 mb of space that I can put all of those songs and now they won't skip...

heh i didnt think i had the money for one either till my lil bro calls me up and said he had one for sale, of course i asked if it was stolen and he told me no he had won it in some poker the night before, but it was older one and i was like ok i will check it out. I checked it out and it was a ipod mini before the video ipods came out and the screen is black and well that olive color so i was like well i was hoping it was newer and he asked if i would give him 40 for it and i got him down to 30 bucks. He did good that night in poker got like 30 bucks, ipod mini, and 1 pack of ciggerettes(sp) so i couldnt pass it up for 30 bucks and it was the 4 gig one. not the fanciest thing but is good enough for me until i get a bigger one.

I hear ya...I figured this would be cool if it works...512 Mb is small but for what I need it for it will work just fine..Plus I am only out like 7 bucks for the adapter... Just ordered it tonight...Hopefully will have it by the end of the week.

i would just stay with the small mp3s..i have the creative vision m 30gb one..that thing is like an effing brick...but it is always cool to play some porn on a 15'' sub

I've never done it on a cd player, but i used my old slvr in my truck with the same adapter you speak of, and a 3.5mm to cassette adapter. Worked Awesome.
