az73 Posted May 19, 2010 Report Posted May 19, 2010 i currently own three sony head units. 1 in my truck 1 in my ski boat and 1 for my work boat. not 1 problem with any of them. my home receiver is also a sony and it just keeps on rockin. inm Posted May 19, 2010 Report Posted May 19, 2010 I've owned 2 Xplod headunits. The first one never "worked." Yeah, it played the radio. But it NEVER read cds, and half the time wouldn't even flip down to take a cd. The second one worked great for about a year. Now it picks the days it wants to work, and eats cds. The last time I put a cd in it, it came out scratched to hell. It was a brand new cd too. Fucking piece of shit. As for their speakers, the previous owner of Blazer had them put in all the factory speaker places. I replaced the dash speakers with Rockford Fosgate speakers, and there was a noticeable difference. I mean, if you're looking for something dirt cheap to replace stock speakers, then yeah, get some Xplods, but if you want nice equipment, stay away.
