chewie
you can still crank the car? i thought you couldnt... if you can crank the car and it wont start thats a different story.. crank your car for a good ten seconds.. then pull a spark plug to and smell it for gas.. if theres gas you got no spark if theres no gas then you have spark but no gas.. or worst case senario your timing chain broke. open your oil filler hole on the valve cover and have somone crank your car while you look in there for moving parts.. if the rockers arent moving.. boom timing chain. Leon
Try checking your charge wire from the alternator to the battery. It could be lose or maybe even slowly slipping out of the terminal due to heat. Quote TΣÅM DΣÅDLY HΣRTZ
kandiman71874
If it was the alt, 12.9 would start the truck no problem it would just never climb above static battery voltage after it started. Considering it sputtered with low idle right b4 it died the, alt wasnt spinning fast enough to be putting out hardly anything. He also indicated that it would crank but not start after it died. Check for spark and fuel would be a good starting point. I see chewie and i not only think alike, but type at the same time lol Edited May 18, 2010 by kandiman71874 Quote Daily Driver 1999 Kia Sephia Kenwood DNX-893s Audison Bit One Processor 2 Dat 4.125's Sundown Audio SCV-6k Hertz hsk-165xl's Mids running active Focal V30 Series Tweeters running active Sundown Sa-8 v1's in the doors 2 Sundown Zv5 12's Lots of Hushmat Big 3+ and 3 + & 3- runs of Trystar 2/0 2 Dc Power Engineering 320 HP Alts 2017 Comp Vehicle 2006 Toyota 4 Runner Kenwood Excelon DNX-893s Audison Bit One HD DSP 4 Sundown Sa 6.5v2 Component Sets Focal Access 6.5 2 ways Sundown Audio Sax-50.4 Sundown Audio Sax-100.4 2 Dc Power 370xp Northstar agm27f Northstar agm65 2 Northstar asmagm 480's 2 Dual 1 Sundown Nightshade v3 12's 2 Sundown SCV-7500's All SMD Fuse Holders Shitload Of Sundown 1/0 120 sq ft Second Skin Damp Pro No, Its Not A Burp Truck!!!! 2016 Season 3rd place in Xtreme 1 At Finals 2016 Season 6th Place In Kaos 1 At Finals ( Blew The Subs Up In First Round Eliminations) 2 Kansas State Records Set In 2016 In Xtreme 1 And Kaos 1 In Midwest SPL David said: audio is a lifestyle, not a hobby newls1 I cant read a tape to save my life... 1/2's are ok, but other marks confuse me kingsuv only men who cant read a tape, take it in the ass kingsuv you sir, get a pink hard hat on jobsites

chewie
fuel filter will still allow the car to start momentarily and it will allow the car to idle.. its when you try to drive it will cause it to die..because it cant source enough fuel. chewie
hmm i wonder if ford trucks have the same thing as ford cars.. if you get rear ended it cuts power to the fuel pump.. in my buddys crown vic everytime the bass hit it would stall his car out and we would have to reset the switch .. so we bypassed it get your manual out sean Edited May 18, 2010 by chewie Quote 91 dodge colt gt.. 4 custom t600 15s audioque 3500d.1 tuned to 25 hz... stay tuned. blazer stroker 15 brutus bxi2006d terrible voltage drop 145.4@38HZ... chewie
the reason why i didnt mention this before is cause he said it kinda died slowly.. whereas my buddys vic died instantly. fox_racin4
i forget how my buddys died but.. we ended up pulling the box off and cheaking fuel pump to see if it dies.. and then we thought.. hey... it has an inertia switch.. reset it and it fired right up!
