Messed my mojo up again...for the 3rd time

the first time we blew it up in the 1st minute it was in my box. the second time it took about three months of poundin to do it in. now after a new alt and hardly any voltage drop i somehow have a dead coil on my sub.....FML any explanations as to how i might have got a dead coil? this is the 3rd problem i have had since christmas

Playing clipped music? How could you not smell the coil burning?
