Flint_810 Posted May 24, 2010 Report Share Posted May 24, 2010 i have a custom box that's 4.5cft after displacements, but the box is tuned to 40hz. wondering if that is too high, fi recommened 30-32hz i thought my installer knew that i guess he forgot to look under the tech section for the correct tuning for the sub. he just went off the specs that's on the sub he said he tuned it that high so it could play all music. im still watin on my btl to get shipped, so i don't know how it will turn out once i get it installed. any suggestions??? fecupe2001 Posted May 24, 2010 Report Share Posted May 24, 2010 Maybe could bottom out a little bit, but i can´t talk about that sub because i don´t use it, i can asure you that, with a 40 hz tuning, my DD 1510´s and 2512´s SLAM around 30 hz, those subs can play strong frequencies below tuning...
