clouduz
Okay, First off I'm using Exo's Box calculator. I'm looking to get the most out of my (1) 15" XL. It will be running at 2 ohms on a Sundown 3000D. Playing with the calculator I came up with some numbers I hope are okay to use. 20x38x16 (2) 6" aero ports 17" long Port Area 56.52 Net volume 4.86 Tuning 36.74 I listen to a variety of music...to sum it up and make it neater Height Width Depth Box - 20 x 38 x 16 Port Area - 56.52 Net Volume - 4.86 cu ft. Tuning - 36.74 Not looking to do hair tricks just loud and low. I was told a minimum of 12" per cu ft and 16 at the most, currently I have 14 per cu ft. Is my port area enough and the 2 6" aero ports? Thanks for any input or this design same dimensions port area - 62.8 0 for some reason i get an emoticon for 62 . 80 net volume - 4.58 tuning - 36.62 (5) 4" aero ports 21" Second box has more port aero but less volume. Which is better? No comps just daily but still want loud and low Edited May 27, 2010 by clouduz

OrionStang
Your port area is plenty. If you're using aeroports, you only need 6-10 sq in per cube, not 12-16. This is the effeciancy of aero ports. Quote SMD Super Seller My Feedback Thread
