Stump me and win a prize

Recommended Posts

I know what bolts you are talking about in the first one, thats to control how wide the bottom of the cup is, if its not wide enough it will basically trip the pins over and knock them down. I forgot about that bolt, being as that is, an adjustment, but not the adjustment I was referring to.

The 2nd one, I have NO idea what that is talking about, Ill have to look closely at the machines tommorrow when Im at work.

The 3rd one, the way you described it mounting to the shaft, is wrong. But since I didnt ask that, Ill have to double check the bolts tommorrow as well. But 9/16 might be correct on that note.

Oh, I forgot to mention Im the head mechanic at a 24 lane house here, 40-50hrs a week. :drinks:

Shit man, I sat there and looked at the diagram for like two hours. Here's my sources of info if you want to check them out:

This one is the parts manual with diagrams:

And this one is just a bolt vs socket chart:

haha^^

and my question is, what kinda old audio equipment do you have, and will u be willing to sale it out of this thread?

i need a good 4ch amp, and some odd ball stuff

my hifonics 4ch cames on with my rectifier, then goes to protect but still plays music, the front channels sound ok, but the rear channels are somewhat distorted, and when i hooked it up to my jumper box it would not play anything

oh, and when it comes on, it goes str8 to protect and the lil hifonics logo dims and the voltage drops from 13.8v to 8.74v but still played music but the rectifier got really hot dureing the 5min of play time, does this mean i have a blown transformer or bad mosfets?

i dont want to win anything, i just wanna kno wtf is wrong with it so when i have arc fix it i can figure out how much money its gunna take so i will kno if it would be best to just get another 4ch, i really like this amp and it looks brand new but with short funds i need the cheapest route available, could be a $30 fix or a $300 fix

please let me kno, ive asked this question on here months ago and no one wants to answer it and i thougth why not, the amp is a hifonics zxi4406

not trying to stump you just wondering what it could be, i dunno how the innards work on a amp, i just kno how to hook them up

thank you, you can pm me the answer to my question when u get time :)

ok, here is my question. How do you run a 25ft long perforating gun and also a 4.24 cast iron bridge plug into a gas well at the same time, setting the plug first, then perforate the casing. What has to be used to do this????

I got one..who is the owner of cheney brothers?

These are the open q's now. I think I'm done for the day. :lazy:

EDIT: Grabbed a wrong question.

Who was the designer that designed the Fermilab National Laboratory (just north of Chicago around Aurora) who also happened to sculpt Möbius strip statue that now sits on top of the auditorium at Fermilab?

and if you want to talk physics... youtube the double slit theory..... explain how light shot in a straight focused path can do that... the only way i think it's possible is if you rotate the shooting device and give it diff trajectories. idk.. been arguing with my brother about..

You sir...

Are wrong.

The 4 bolts actually require a 1/2in socket/wrench for removal/adjustment.

What do I win?

Hmm... Well you are technically supposed to post your source (other than you checked) so I can back mine up, but here goes.

I pulled the parts manual directly from Ace Mitchell, looked at every single structure in a blown up view from the AMF 82-70. According to your question, you asked about the pin cups. "Pin cup" was determined to be a tech's lingo for a "spotting cup" which is only located in the "Yoke and Spotting Cup Assembly".

Looking through the entire parts list for the Yoke and Spotting Cup Assembly, there are only three types of bolts.

1/4-20x1 1/4 --- There are ten total, each residing in their own spotting cup assembly. You said they were to adjust the size of the cups.

1/4-20x1 --- There are two total located on pins 8 and 9 cups. I'm not sure what they do.

3/8-16x1 1/2 --- There are four total. These in fact DO go through something called a lever according to the parts list. Since there were only four (one per shaft),

Either way, the 3/8-16x1 1/2 hex screws on each shaft is the correct bolt you were referring to.

http://www.qubicaamf.com/QubicaAMF/files/91/9173f102-c42d-4c7c-9034-cbd09a964bd8.pdf

THEN, I went to a bolt manufacturing website and get relative sizes of socket heads for different size hex bolts. The numbers played out on several sites (AND I verified the 3/8" bolts on my batteries did in fact take a 9/16" wrench).

So you sir, have some explaining to do. :)

How about, Ill just make a video, and upload to youtube then?

I got to work tommorrow, and my camera is at the house right now, but hell, I can even show you on all 24 lanes if you would like.

Here is the machines.

Here is the "spotting cups"

IMG00151.jpg

IMG00152.jpg

Here is the peices that hold the cups onto the shafts, and finally, the bolt that is secured to that(the bolt in question).

IMG00155.jpg

IMG00154.jpg

Oh and heres a spare table assembly, weighs roughly 600lbs.

IMG00149.jpg

Anything else?

Any more confusion?

Only the fact that your machines parts don't match the manuals. Either your not using an AMF 82-70 (which I'm sure you are), or the manuals were written incorrectly by the manufacturers, or there were different submodels only one of which was accepted to draft a manual which makes no sense.

I do believe that your lanes are using the bolt you mentioned, but your fact is disputing the manual from multiple sites. This would make the question unresearchable.
