Maxim
Well, if the sub will handle the full 1000+ rms, I'd say your fine getting the EV1500M and wiring it to 2 ohms. It'll do around 1000w rms at 2 ohms and your sub will handle 1150, so you'll be all set. This is assuming you can wire the sub to 2 ohms. What model sub is it? Also its more bang for my buck, more real estate for my dollar if you catch my drift. its like the Costco of streetwalkers. I was hoping for 150 . HHR Ed
you should see what model and voice coil impedance your sub is first, then choose the amp that fits the impedance that the subwoofer actually is. Thanks for this Ed! haha, I know, I thought it was funny that you asked what model the sub is and the OP just said "OK thanks" haha. HHR Ed
min. impedance unbridged is 1 ohms. idk if thats what u mean No, what is the voice coil of the woofer? What is the model of woofer, we can look it up ourself? The woofer may be single or dual voice coil and will have an impedance on each coil, like 4ohm or 2ohms per coil. This will tel you at what load the woofer will be so you can match the amp to that woofer. HHR Ed
here http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_23654_Boss+P126DVC.html OK, its dual 4ohm so it can be wired to 2ohms. You want an amp that does most of its power at 2ohms. Also, that woofer really is only good to 500-600w rms so no need for an amp too big for it. That website isnt correct and its overrated.
