Soundstream RUB1.800 Help!

Hi all, I'm hoping someone on these forums can help me here. I just bought a Soundstream Rubicon RUB1.800D Monoblock Amp yesterday. I got it in the mail today and hooked it up. It was working great for the whole day until about 4 o clock when I was bumping pretty loud. Something happened, but my subs just stopped playing altogether. So I have NO clue what has happened and I'm pretty pissed off because this is a brand new amp.

Anyways the problem is that I don't think the amplifier is turning on. Whenever I turn on my car and start playing music my components start playing but my subs dont. The green Power LED doesn't turn on but the amp starts humming very low.

Here's what I've done so far

1.Disconnected the Negative on the battery, reconected and the amp doesn't turn on.

2.Reconected all wires going into the amp (Gnd 12v and Remote) and nothing happens.

3. Checked the final Impedance load from the woofers to the amp w/ a multimeter and it's 1.3 (I have them wired down to 1 ohm)This amp is 1 ohm stable.

4. Did a 12volt loop to remote and the amp still didn't turn on.

Any help?

I have no clue what I did or if I'm missing something big here but either way I'm worried that I'm gonna have to go through a bunch of return crap through millionbuy to get another amp.

BTW, I only have 1 redtop, stock 70amp Alt and NO inline fuse on my power wire.

1. Get an inline fuse, are you crazy?

2. Check the fuses on the amp, you probably blew those.

I would check the battery and remote line with a DMM to see exactly what voltage they're putting out. Also, check fuses

I checked all the fuses on the amplifier and they all seemed to be fine, so I can't think of anything else that would be a problem other than it being the amplifier itself. >_>

Now I don't really know all too much about how to use my multimeter other than finding Impedances because there is a whole side dedicated to Ohms LOL.

How would I check the remote and power wires with the DMM?

Is the protect light red on the amp ? do you have another amp you could hook up to cancel out any other possibility that its your wiring or sub?

Actually, I just did that and to my relief my old amp that I hooked up DOES NOT power up! Im pretty sure that means it's a fuse or possible my Power or ground wire.

Any thoughts? Thanks SO MUCH for the help here guys I really do appreiciate it. I think I'm going to take off some floor panels to check my power wire for any shorts or anything that might have caused this.

Anyways, I checked all of the fuses throughout my car and they all are fine except for these.

These fuses are right above my Positive Terminal on my Battery. I think It might be the red one on the right.

EDIT: And no the Protect light doesn't come on. That was the first thing I checked. No power/protect lights on either amp come on.
