Strapping amps

Hey guys, was wondering if it was possible to strap two MB Quart DSC1000.1 together to run two Rockford Fosgate P3D415s

Already have one running at one ohm, just wanna know if there is anyway to get another 1000rms onto them?

Preferably without changing amps.

when you strap amps, you generally have to double the resistance they see.

1 ohm to 1 amp, 2 ohm to 2 amps straped. etc

Yeah I thought so, but then they'll obviously drop to 500rms each, gaining nothing.

Strapping amps is used to set up the gains easier, and then you also can only use 1 bass knob.

Sometimes you gain a few (hundred) watts , sometimes you lose power.

If u would strap those amps to 1 ohm they probably would break soon.(or just stay in protect without playing.)

no because each of the 2 amps will still have an effective 1 ohm load and you'll be pushing 2000 wrms @ 2 ohms instead of 1000wrms @ 1 ohm like with one amp.

So how would you go at wiring that?

At the moment they're just bridged on the amp.

And come to think of it, the amps are only 500wrms at 2ohm...

Where'd you get the 2000wrms at 2ohm?
