sqsux
I would do the type r's for more cone area and because I've owned a pair, got pretty loud off of a punch 200.2. Quote Start out boxy, shape as you move along. Dc Audio Team Fur

IF YOU KNOW A BETTER AMP FOR THE 10" TYPE-X's PLEASE TELL ME, THANKS Hey, I just heard two type R 12's in a box tuned at about 20-24hz and he had a directed 1000 watt amp hooked to it and it sounded very nice. Nice clear punching bass. Remember to get a box tuned to the specs of the sub go to the highest port possible that the sub will accept to maximize your SPL level. As for the 10's I have never heard them in person but I have heard great things. What type of music do you listen to?
Alex K
wth 20-24 hertz? What the hell is he listening to? Quote 2006 Nissan Z Track. My Feedback Thread i used to think a band pass was something you were around your neck or something.

I didn't really understand the rest of your post lol. EDIT: please explain that highest port possible thing please. Alex K
no they're good/decent subs. People just overpower em too often. Quote 2006 Nissan Z Track. Infinite913
i was planning on tuning the box to 30-32hz... i listen to lots of rap and sometimes heavy metal bands like slipknot n stuff... Hey I dont know what the specs of the subs are thats why I was saying make sure you read them before getting the box or building. But as for the rest of my message i didnt understand it neither lol. But for rap and slipknot and stuff the 12's would do really good. I had two 12" AudioPipe (Ipipe's)in a ported box tuned at 32Hz wired to one ohm being pushed by a 1610D from hifonics. And it sounded GREAT! but I sold that and now I have 1 18" FI BTL with a Hifonics 2100rms BRZ( the 2010 new series dirty sound by the way) in a 5.5 cubic box tuned a 32.7Hz and It sounds WONDERFUL!!!! But If I were you and you are stuck on Alpine do the 12's but as you stated DO not overpower them. If you want more bass get more subs or better subs PERIOD! and what I meant by the highest port possible is lets say the specs say you have a range from - 30-35HZ if you are looking for more SPL than SQL than go with 35Hz does that help? hdorre
I would do the Rs b/c of cone area. You should get another one of those amps in the future though (one per sub) Quote On 5/8/2011 at 7:38 PM, Kranny said: On 5/8/2011 at 7:35 PM, 'Maxim' said: It hurts me inside when I read stuff like this and remember you're 15 LMFAO so true Mitsubishi 3000GT (Old Build) Headunit: Pioneer 80PRS Frontstage: (2) McLaren Audio MLT-2 Tweeters & (4) PRV Audio MR Series Neo 6.5" Mids Substage: 4 15" Hybrid Subs - Tantric Motors & Sundown Softies Amps: Banda 2.4D Amp (Tweets), American Bass VFL 350.4 (Mids), and (2) Ampere 3800s Electrical :Singer 260A Alt & JY Power Lithium 2005 Chevy Colorado Ext Cab Headunit: Pioneer 80PRS Frontstage: 4 PRV 700Ti Tweets & 6 10" Delta Mids on 3000wrms Substage: 6 Fi BTL 18s in a 4th Order Walkthrough on 3 Wolfram 4500s Electrical: Singer "390" and JY Power My Official Feedback Thread
