Rogers
alright so i want to lower my 93 saturn... my struts went bad so i ordered new oem replacements and i figured since i will have everything apart i might as well get some lowering springs... i have a couple choices as far as springs, but i also want to do it as cheap as possible while still doing it right... here are the cheapest options ive found with a quick search.. these are the lowest price.. supposed to have 4 inches of adjustibility(idk if thats a word) http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=190395279229&viewitem=&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWAX%3AIT and here are the next expensive... they claim to do a 2.3" drop on front and back http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=310168397583&viewitem=&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWAX%3AIT as far as i know the other option is to go with an Eibach kit and they range from like 190 to 250 per set... anyways what do you think? how low can i go before i run into problems, especially with the factory struts? doug118
those ebay coilovers and springs will blow out your shocks pretty quickly and are almost always bouncy. spent the extra money and get the eibach kit Quote 2001 Tahoe. JCiarlino
You should really get aftermarket struts when lowering your car.
mbdblue
check out Tanabe's Sustec lowering springs. I had a set of them on my accord with bilstein shocks and liked the setup. they werent too expensive either. Fish920
When going with a lowering kit of any sort it is recommended to go with different struts compared to the factory. You can keep the factory struts, but they won't last long and you'll eventually end up getting aftermarket struts anyway. If you go with the eibach kit get the pro kit i highly recommend it compared to the sprotlines. I drive a 01 chevy cavalier sedan and i will be going with the eibach pro kit with kyb gr2 struts.
