JMZNeal
How the??? Did someone decide to throw a stick in front of you while you were going down the road? Hahaha big stump.. long story.. short version: I live in mountians I saw a fox... I ran for gun to shoot fox... Truck running in N rolls down hill after fox... i throw gun and run after truck... NO DOOR HANDLE so i'm running beside it trying to open the door and BAMMMMMMMMM stump.... hard left throws me into bushes pinned up beside truck... Killed the front wheel---rocker panel smashed flat to door and slid hitting front of corner of bed twisting it out like a step side........ whew... bad memories... and.....i had to be pulled out with a 4x4..... i'm almost done with it.. little more bondo and some TLC and it will be done. JMZNeal
this is after a day of just beating it around and kicking a bunch IDK what happened to this pic of the side but all i have to do now is spot putty and prime it. The roll pan was all f'd up so i just bondoed the whole thing so i didn't have to come back and try to level out a spot or 8 later... once i get it primed i'm going to re work the front suspension and start thinking about taking the bed off to do the full notch instead of the bolt in C.. no links yet still mono leafed w/ bag behind and under the axle just going to make it lay better for now... Then tub the bed redo my wiring and amp rack before it gets too cold to work in the yard. JMZNeal
man ppl must not like me or my truck sux one... i've got another choice. and if anyone reads this please give me your advice or at least a smiley for the bump.. a. 2x sets T1652-s w/ tweet and cross overs behind seat or b. 2x sets image dynamic 6.5 behind seat just mids. remember i have horns under dash and the image XS 6x9's and CX 6.5's in doors already. all i'm doing is ditching the P1 8's for a or b.... the horns will end up with a T6002 @8 x2. and the mids will be on a T600.4 @2 x4 if i get the RFs i want to run the tweets and xover. meaning i will want to put the horns and door speakers on a x over bi amped so i can tune each corner individually instead of having something (8's now) mono off the center channel of my 360.2 but then i don't get to choose my x over point on the horns... point of the 360.2 in the first place. suggestions welcome.... JMZNeal
well never mind about the mids for behind the seat. i walked into a great deal for these O2 OM8-200s 140rms 8ohm(edit: 4ohm the guy that sold them to me mis interpreted the name) getting bridged on the craptastic Boss 300x2 so they should have the power they need. just need to work on building the pods for them in the corners of my truck. this is my rocker as of yesterday.... still needs some TLC but at least it's not flat with the bottom of the door anymore. and here it is all primed up last week before i started working on the rocker yesterday. i had to take those 18's off and go back to 14's cuz the offset was rubbing the bag up front on drivers side when i turned deep. oh well... might try to trade back for my old ones let me know what ya'll think about O2 mids cuz it was those or 4 ID CX6.5s. i ruled out the RF's since i didn't need the tweets and didn't want to complicate it anymore than i already have. Oh.. and i have some P1 8's for sell now officially if anyone has the desire. i'll do 50 per sub with the fancy grills and the ones that come with them. JMZNeal
it looks good and a lot of rangers run spacers on the front. yup yup... and i have 3/8 inch spacers but still when i turn deep they scrub. i need to redo the front brackets and make it lay lower anyway. fix 3-4 probs at once. it really drives and rides better with the 14's on it so it's what ever til i get it re done. and thank you. JMZNeal
Alright. so i got the new O2's and needed to update the rear of the cab to accommodate them w/o just building a MDF box and halfway covering up the subs again.... I've decided to make it all fiberglass from side to side. I wanted to bring the subs up and mold them into the back wall to make it all seem like it's all in the cab but who am i kidding.. if i did that it would crack back out first time the truck went down the road. i need to let the cab and bed stay separate. so the middle part will wrap about 3/4inch into the blow through just to make it look straight and clean. Then the sides will be the pods (notice the hump? it's for wires to run down) they will set over the edges of the middle and under the B pillar trim. all this is new to me so i hope it looks good. I need to cut the bottom of the OE B pillar and attach it to the pod. Will just glassing it over on both sides work or do i need to use 40/40 plastics adhesive? I don't think it will get to much stress on it but IDK? NE way there she is... More glassin tom... hopfully will get the middle out and sanded a little so then i can get the side base molds done tom and get the speakers mocked up. I'm really excited... how many layers should i do on the middle since it's just trim? and how about the pods? i'm using cloth for the flats and mat for the corners. Planning one more (making it two) all over on the middle trim and three total on the pods all over but idk? i just don't want it to crack out when the bass hits.
