typicaljawaiian
Certain songs I play, when I sit in the passenger seat of the car I feel air coming out of the port. Mostly the low frequencies. Its a trunk car with a 6" aero on the passenger side. Sub and port forward. Is that normal, if not, what is going on? Will that damage my gear? Thanks
superdave07
i may be out of line here, but im pretty sure the idea of a port is to move enough air you can feel it? hdorre
i may be out of line here, but im pretty sure the idea of a port is to move enough air you can feel it? The main purpose of a port is to tune the enclosure; It just allows air to leave it Quote On 5/8/2011 at 7:38 PM, Kranny said: On 5/8/2011 at 7:35 PM, 'Maxim' said: It hurts me inside when I read stuff like this and remember you're 15 LMFAO so true Mitsubishi 3000GT (Old Build) Headunit: Pioneer 80PRS Frontstage: (2) McLaren Audio MLT-2 Tweeters & (4) PRV Audio MR Series Neo 6.5" Mids Substage: 4 15" Hybrid Subs - Tantric Motors & Sundown Softies Amps: Banda 2.4D Amp (Tweets), American Bass VFL 350.4 (Mids), and (2) Ampere 3800s Electrical :Singer 260A Alt & JY Power Lithium 2005 Chevy Colorado Ext Cab Headunit: Pioneer 80PRS Frontstage: 4 PRV 700Ti Tweets & 6 10" Delta Mids on 3000wrms Substage: 6 Fi BTL 18s in a 4th Order Walkthrough on 3 Wolfram 4500s Electrical: Singer "390" and JY Power My Official Feedback Thread
typicaljawaiian
Well I just got in a discussion w/ someone that said the placement of the sub in the box was causing unloading? I thought tuning determined unloading. He said it wasn't loading on the port wall or something. Im totally lost on this concept and I was wondering if my setup was doing the same thing? CaptainzPlanetz
Feeling air from the port is a good thing and perfectly normal. x2, in my 03 Grand Am, I have my XL15 firing into the cabin and the port is on my side, and it moves my hair a bit in its sweet spot around 25-30Hz. This is with 2 4" Aero's. Quote ¿ǝɯɐƃ ǝɥʇ Trolls never learn............ All BS aside, If I see one more comment in here that is NOT about the pre-sale, I will start the vacations. typicaljawaiian
i may be out of line here, but im pretty sure the idea of a port is to move enough air you can feel it? The thing is that the amount of air I could feel coming over my shoulder didn't feel normal. It was almost "gushing". I dont want the sub loosing control in the box and then lead to "unloading"
