Going with all new setup, need suggestions

Recommended Posts

I want to upgrade from 1 AQ HDC3 12" to a louder, yet smaller setup....only reason im doing it is cause my electrical can't take 1500 RMS any longer.

I was thinking of going with this sub box: (http://cgi.ebay.com/6-HOLE-12-CHAMBERED-COMPACT-SUBWOOFER-SUB-SPEAKER-BOX-/270587350911?cmd=ViewItem&pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item3f00434f7f)

And (6) of these kicker comp 12" subs (http://cgi.ebay.com/KICKER-2010-C12-CAR-12-COMP-SUBWOOFER-SUB-WOOFER-CHEAP-/380233030527?cmd=ViewItem&pt=Car_Subwoofers_Enclosures&hash=item5887a79b7f)

all powered by this amp @ 2 ohms (http://cgi.ebay.com/NEW-KENWOOD-KAC-9105D-MONO-CLASS-D-1800W-AMPLIFIER-AMP-/350363351339?cmd=ViewItem&pt=Car_Amplifiers&hash=item519348792b) Figured its a perfect match 900 RMS / 6 subs = 150 RMS per sub which is the kickers rated power

I know the sub box isn't going to be too good, but im thinking for more airspace i could flip the front 3 upside down for more airspace in the box. I may be willing to build my own if someone hooked me up with some plans for a box style simular to the link i posted, because my trunk isn't too big.

OR am i just wasting my time and 2 type R's on 900 RMS would be louder in a 3.5 cubic ported box.

OR will my AQ be louder than all of these?

OR should i get 4 kicker 15" on 900 RMS?

F/s: 2 custom made boxes, for 1 12" and 2 12" hit me up I'll let em go cheap

Wait, louder but smaller. Yet you want more woofers?

I'd say 2 15"s in a nice ported box would beat 4 in the pre-fab sealed.

You can build a box for way way way less than $100, trust me, I have.
